Gan Jiang Mo Wu (the legendary sword of ancient China)
The story of Gan Jiang Mo Wu is an ancient Chinese myth and legend, first appearing in the "Biographies of Li Shi" and "Biographies of Xiao Zi" by Liu Xiang of the Han Dynasty, and later extracted and quoted in many historical works. Nowadays, the most popular version is the story of Gan Jiang Mo Wu from the collection of novels "Searching for Gods and Monsters".
Gan Jiang, a native of the state of Wu during the Spring and Autumn Period. He was the most famous swordsmith of the state of Chu, and the swords he made were incredibly sharp. When the king of Chu found out about this, he ordered him to forge swords for him. Later, he and his wife Mo Wu were ordered to forge it for the king of Chu, one sword named Gan Jiang and the other Mo Wu. Knowing the King of Chu's brutal character, Gan Jiang gave the sword to his wife to pass on to his son before presenting the sword to Moxi, who was later really killed by the King of Chu. When his son became an adult, he succeeded in fulfilling his father's last wish and killed the King of Chu to avenge his father's death. This legend praises the superb skill of the swordsmith, the beauty of the sword's writing and the heroism of the youth, and criticizes the cruelty of the king of Chu.
